The Survival Guide for Rookie Moms

I have issues with people being too forceful about breastfeeding. I believe new moms should be well informed about the advantages for both the baby and themselves if they choose to breastfeed, BUT the crucial word in that sentence is ‘CHOOSE’. No one should be forced, no one should be made to feel guilty or inadequate if they cannot or if they simply do not want to breastfeed.

I saw this video and I think it puts across the point well. I haven’t the slightest idea who any of the ‘celebrities’ are, but that’s not important. It’s what they are saying that’s important. Breastfeeding isn’t easy, it doesn’t always come naturally, but if you persevere it can be very rewarding.
