Flip for the Holidays – Camcorder Giveaway

Congratulations to Maureen, @moeturner the winner of the Flip Video Camcorder giveaway!

Are you ready to “Flip for the Holidays” (not “flipping out”…because we know, ready or not, holiday flipping out is already amongst us). No, we are talking about the very cool Flip Video Camcorders.

The How: These cameras are about the size of my cell phone and they’re jam packed with features including a 2” LCD screen, 120 minutes of recording time (8MB!) AND they shoot video is amazing High Definition. It’s actually quite hard to believe you can snag one of these camcorders for under $250.

    Once upon a time, there were 3, very cute, Wubbalums. Even though they were very good friends, they were sad. BluepaPotamus didn’t have a Flip Video Camcorder and both, PinkaPanda & YellowPhant didn’t make enough money selling lemonade to buy her one. However, along came @rookiemommy using the #Flip4holiday hashtag and the Wubbalums knew there was a contest afoot. And, they could play by the rules, just because they were rules and Wubbalums are good at that. So, off to Twitterville they headed to herold the new day in hopes of winning a Flip Video Camcorder… BluepaPotamus has very good friends indeed!

    What would I do with a flip video camera the size of my cell phone?? Hmmmm…I could video all the things my children do through out the day that when my husband comes home, finds hard to believe. My son opened all the presents under the tree and told me “its my party”. My daughter said that her new Christmas dress needed a little GLAM so she took her sparkle glue and strategically made it “pretty”. Both of them yesterday helped me prepare for company by baking. They put crackers in there mouth, chewed, removed them from there mouth, used there hands to roll them into balls and then placed them nicely on a cookie sheet. My daughter told me that they “just need to go into the oven for a few minutes”.
    I take a few minutes now to ask myself “where was I when all this creativity was taking place”? I then realized that getting upset with them and there ways of celebrating the holidays when I’ve been so consumed with “things to do” would be unfair so I embraced each situation with an….ADVIL!! Anyways my husband laughs at these stories and wishes he could witness all there innocent moments of love.
