Our normal blog posts are on hold at the moment – there’s just not enough time in the day to write any. Why is this? Because we have a brand new baby, that’s why. At last the fruits of our labour is in our hands and we’d like to invite all our fellow moms and moms-to-be to help us celebrate the arrival of:

Most conceptions are enjoyable. And so it was for The Survival Guide for Rookie Moms, albeit a little unorthodox as it took place in a crowded Vancouver Indian restaurant and involved 2 women! Erica and I embarked on this venture way back in September 2006, and it wasn’t until March 2009 that we finally signed contracts with John Wiley & Sons, Canada to start the publishing process, so it has been a loooong pregnancy. The labour was a bit of a marathon too, but finally here we are a year later celebrating the arrival of our baby. We won’t be breastfeeding this one, so let’s raise a large glass of bubbly to The Survival Guide for Rookie Moms.

Baby’s World, Coquitlam have kindly agreed to host our baby shower on May 4th from 7pm – 9pm. This is a baby shower with a difference – there’s no need to bring gifts; in fact we’re giving the gifts away to you! The first 200 attendees will get a swag bag of flyers, discount coupons and samples and Baby’s World are generously providing some fabulous prizes.

There will be a raffle in aid of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and prizes include:

All you rookie moms and moms-to-be of Greater Vancouver can’t afford to miss out on all these fabulous baby goodies. When I say ‘us’, I will only be there in spirit as I’m all the way over here in the UK sniff, sniff. I’ve left Erica holding the baby and she’s been working like a demon to organize the event so do go along and give her some support.
